Owner Grant here - I'm excited to announce our Harvest Formula is ready for purchase immediately for both growers and retail locations!
I've been getting questions on why it was added, what is in it, and what is the difference between it and the original Plant Bodyguard Reload Concentrate?
To start, our primary goal here is to make quality products for growers at average joe prices. We want to give people a competitively priced option to buy from a small business they believe in, not some giant corporation. Our goal is to grow and bring manufacturing and jobs to rural Virginia. I (Grant) do not, and have not, taken a penny of salary or profit distributions since starting this company 3 years ago - it all gets reinvested. The only people that make money off our products are the retail owners that support us, and the independent sales/affiliate friends helping us grow. With your help, we hope to grow and eventually support many families not only in Virginia - but across the US.
So why create a new product? Why spend the time and money testing and getting this approved? Because we want to offer options to everyone, growing all kinds of plants in all kinds of climates. Growers in dry heat climates are certainly going to have different pests and mildew issues compared to growers in a wet humid forest. The pests and mold/mildew may be completely resistant to one type of attack in one area, but weak to it in another due to things like climate, ingredients, sensitivity, or even factors like pH.
Harvest Formula is (kind of) like taking our original formula, and mixing it with our high quality soap (while taking out the alcohol and essential oils, and adjusting pH). Instead of expensive alcohol and essential oils as a fighting base, this has less expensive (but still high quality) soap and corn/soy oils. It has a high bottling pH, compared to the original which has a low pH. It has a quicker half life and breakdown in the environment, allowing use up to the day of harvest. It's the complementing counterpart to the original formula.
Does that mean it's better? Not necessarily, it's just different. For some growers and climates/situations/issues, it may work better. For others, the original formula is a kick-ass product. For others, maybe they just want to use our simple soap and completely avoid oils. Some growers rotate one or all 3 in their IPM solutions.
We encourage you to try out our products and see what works best for you and. the plants you grow. And let us know when a product works - or doesn't! We know our products can't work every time, in every scenario, and kill every type of pest. After all, we make EPA exempt minimum risk products, not heavy chemical ones. If one of our products doesn't work for a certain scenario or pest, its likely one of the others will! Shoot us a message describing the problem and dosage/timing, and we'll send you back a discount code to try one of our other products!
With our lineup of EPA exempt minimum risk products, we give growers the options to avoid more harmful pesticides/fungicides. Protect Your Grow, Protect Your Harvest.
